How to treat new members

Maybe he thought you were trying to get his attention?
Pssssst.

You're a poet and you didn't even know it.

My feet show it.
They are long fellows.

You know.
Sooner or later it will warm up enough for me to go outside to the barn and work on the Charger headlight wiring mod.

The grammar police are the worst. Don't get me wrong there's some terrible spelling on here but making people feel like idiots helps nobody. I can't think of anybody that does this though:rolleyes:.

:poke:
There. Fixed it! :poke::poke:

You mean THIS guy...?
"I destroyed one of my front market light sockets trying to remove it, and my turn signals which I had just fixed no longer work. Hazards work but are VERY faint. If i replace the marker light bulb and socket will it fix my turn signals? Or should I start looking elsewhere?"

Really? You think that MAYBE the exact part that you destroyed could be the reason that it no longer works?
Hey...Cars problems can be difficult to diagnose but what the heck, man? How can people be so dense?

Update: the poster really doesn't know. I guess we were all beginners once. It scares me though because his next thread will probably be about overhauling his Torqueflite. The blinker fluid post will really get him confused.

"They did work, and I was stoked!! Not anymore...
So how is one supposed to remove the bulbs from side marker lights? I read another thread and someone said "just pull on it, you won't break it"....
And how can i remove the entire lense? Since there is now broken glass inside from when i destroyed the bulb and socket."

Out of idle curiosity.
Is this the socket he may have broken?

I saw the post.
Not sure if this was his socket, and I did not have enough time or information to be helpful.
My thought was the problems were unrelated since the side markers I'm familiar with do not enter into the turn signal equation.
These can be a PITA.
I have had to trim the down since they seem to "swell" over time and won't go into the hole easily.

Could be the ones. There were no pictures so we really don't know.

I think I found a parallel universe of antimatter.

I just found this thread.
Now, I'm scratching my head.
Hey, that rhymes.

Now to find a word that rhymes with orange.
After reading that exchange, we need one titled 'how to treat existing members'!

As a new member I would like to thank everyone again for the warm welcome to the B Body Brotherhood.
I accept that everything after that I bring upon myself.
Thanks for having me!

I'm here everyday a few times a day, and this is the first time I've seen the thread all week. What's up with that?

Well, sometimes the “disagree” comment might be the correct one, OR at least it makes the OP think again?

I was tempted to give you a Red X just to make you think about your comment. LOL

I saw that one.

I've been on here for a few years and others that have been here for sometime can attest to watching some come and go rather quickly. Either you fit in or you don't. If you act like a dick, you're going to get slammed by the majority almost every time. It's not proper to act like an *** when others are trying to help and if you do, oh well you have it coming.

If I check out a thread and the OP states that he was draining his oil and all of these metal chunks were coming out, I'll probably just move on.

If the OP is experiencing some confusion about how something comes apart or goes back together I'll try to help out. And only do I try to help if I know what I'm talking about. Replying with guesses or comments that truly shows that you don't know, will be more confusing to the OP.

I'll give the OP credit for working on their ride, trying to learn and save some money. There are some that will never "get it" and some that have the knack. Try to be respectful.

I agree. Bout a year ago I joined a forum for bicycles... was treated rudely immediately by some and in a week I was actually BANNED (without a word from the mods) despite my never taking the bate and just ignoring the rude ones.

And a year later I have never heard why despite my emailing the mods for an explaination. I still have no idea what happened. All I did was ask some questions, add some positive comments on others builds, offered some specific help or knowledge on other discussion threads... just what I do everyday here.
I think that everyone here who gets a warning or told to tow the line get enough chances to get sorted out. And normally you will be told what you did wrong here...I know I've done my share of explaining and giving reasons for my actions.....I don't have to, but I do.

You have to admit though, it is fun to catch out that guy on the rare occasion when he slips up.
No names mentioned to protect the guy who takes selfies with his shorts hiked up around his chest. :D
