Ive seen some for sale posts that peaked my interest. Is there a difference between HP valve covers vs standard big block valve covers?

That's just hype. No differences I can recall - the design details were dictated by wiring & heater hose brackets for a given year (or years) and/or model line up until '70, when they changed for emissions, and the later raised center on the BB covers. Obviously in a few applications they were plated.

Nadda.

Simply sellers way to make them worth more.....hopefully

Well there was the 67 440 HP covers that were chrome...
And if your car came with them, then you'd want them if you're restoring it

Thats what I figured. Id see no reason for Ma to change valve covers when the valve train is the same. Thanks gentlemen.

67 GTXs with a 440 came with chrome valve covers, note I did have to modify the inside baffles to clear my ISKY rockers...

Just my $0.02...

Here's two of my favorites lol....
1.) These are getting hard to find

2.) These are in good condition, for 60 year old parts.
