hurst shifter

I have a 64 dodge sedan, problem is with shifter. why is 1st gear 2nd and 2nd gear is 1st and 3rd gear is 4th and 4th gear is 3rd ??? . has a 68 4 speed trans.

Most likely the levers on the transmission are on the wrong way.

that was the problem, 1st & 2nd bracket was on upside down. THX everyone
