Here is a correct big block style lifter from Crane that’s at least 30 years old.

No pushrod hole.....no metering disc.

Cores are available for solid rollers............

Thats great... But not in the budget.... This is just an old school, stock stroke iron headed 440.... Turns out Bullet/Ultradyne have cores for mechanical flat tappets...

I know, I was just being a butt. Even budget aside, SFT is the right choice 90% of the time, IMO
