Well I totaled a car and broke my arm, just in the last few hours. I drove my mother today for reconstructive surgery in her Honda, and accidentally left the lights on. So when I went to pick her up the battery was dead, so I took my truck. When we got home we jump started the car and let the battery charge. After an hour I went for a test drive, as I was trying to cross the road in front of my house. A Metro bus blocked my view, and I relied on sight from several blocks away (I know that was stupid). As I pulled out I looked over and had just enough time to say "oh crap", before a blue sedan plowed into my Honda at 55 miles per hour. I remember spinning around and waking up in the passenger seat (I was driving), (despite the fact I was wearing a seat belt). The woman was taken in an ambulance, then after helping her and dealing with the police I realized my arm was not working at all, and was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with a massively broken arm, so bad in fact I never felt it because my body was still in shock when I got to the hospital. I pray that the woman is okay, as she was rather unhappy when they took her away. I admit fault as there was no denying it (not that I would want to), and I hope that I am able to get back to my life as soon as possible, pray for me.

Your in my thoughts and thank God you and that woman were not more seriously injured. What you need to remember is that bad things happen sometimes to good people. Another thing is your man enough to admit your fault,no matter what anybody says,we all screw up,some times we get away with it and other times not. Recover from your injuries and than move on. Best of luck to you

Wow, I was bummed about cutting my finger to the bone but that's pretty bad. Best wishes

sorry about what happened good luck and get back at soon !:blob1:

That sucks - so sorry to hear.

Hopefully everyone can recover quickly with no lasting issues. The car is just a car, and it is replaceable. Take care and heal up fast!

Sorry to hear of this unfortunate accident. Try to relax and heal up. Hopefully the other driver is fine.

I feel guilty as one of my first thoughts was "glad it was the Honda and not the Mopar" then I sat back and thought to myself what a dumba-- I was. I really hope everything is okay and will return to normal soon....my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

That sounds nasty, but I'm glad you were still alive to post it! Prayers for you and the lady involved...

You'll be in my prayers, Take it easy with the broken arm, they suck (broken bones)

And yes, be thankful it was the Honda, and the womans car, and not BOTH your lives! Remember, "**** happens" and then you step in it!

Hope you and the other driver both recover quickly. I recommend not assuming and admitting fault. Let the cops and insurance companies figure that out, maybe she was speeding or texting. Lots of things contribute to an accident, if you pulled out slowly, she should at least have made an attempt to stop or evade. I'm not a lawyer but you said yourself that you were in shock and didnt know your arm was broken. Maybe you weren't able to analyze what just happened instantly afterwards in such a condition.

Oh man! I am just happy you were able to type this! Terrible luck mate. My thoughts are with you. I can only imagine what would have happened if you had not worn that seat belt.

I had a similar situation happen and have one arm shorter than the other.... sucks but glad you're still in the game.... and no one got too seriously injured

Glad you are OK. Why does the Bus always get blamed? SON of a...

That sucks but at least no one was killed. Pyayers going out to you both.

Funny, I thought the same thing. Nonetheless, I hope you both get better soon.

Well, at least it wasn't the Mo Par. Hondas are easily replaced. Sorry to hear of your accident and I hope your recovery goes well. My thoughts and prayers go out to the lady too.
