I smell like an exhaust pipe...

Yeah I know you can for new ones, I'm taking about the old old like vintage ones on EBay I don't think you can . And I want one for each side of the motor as I have dual exhaust with no crossover. And even if I knew I was running rich wtf can I do to fix it lol I'm trying everything! Timing, carb metering rods and tuning it I just dunno

You will not need two, we run dual exhaust with no cross over pipe. If it is running rich you can play with the metering rods and jet sizes for the carb

Any where on the crank will work as long as it is centered between the short distance of the two stop locations and the cover tab has been placed accordingly.

Yeah so I've got the carb tuning kit and it has all the stock rods which I think 7475 are the leanest and 8in vac springs and whatever the factory jets are now so I guess maybe try jetting it leaner. It's an Eddie btw

Well then I'm stumped because I did just that. I used the little hole on the metal tang to mark the location each time I stopped on the go around each way and then marked between those two marks and I'm like somewhere else altogether

I would have thought doing that would put TDC right on the hole of the tang at the end of it all and at least be within 15 or 16 degrees off the bat as it was but not even close

That is where the AFR gauge comes in handy when you make changes to the carb, it will show live time readouts. Let the fun begin.

You have located the plug wire for #1 and not just it supposed to be location at the cap?

I mean I'd just settle for not smelling like the "Hydrocarbonman" and leave it at that! Lol. Fine tuning is all good, but sheesh!

Yup pretty certain anyway. I know the firing order and everything. and the wires AND the cap towers are very clearly numbered My rotor points to around 3oclock for plug wire 1 and that's where the tower for wire one is on the dist.

It's Eau de Old Mopar, with a rich carb.:D
Don't worry, chicks dig it.
AV gas can be had at small airports, think single engine planes. Around here I buy 100 octane leaded AV gas and mix it with ethanol free- RC is right, it's like Chanel #5.

Yeah my girl says she likes it, but it's a bit much at times lol

At least your girl likes it. I get told that I stink but I think its fine. Lol

I also have an Edelbrock 750 and when I bought the car in Dec. of '14 it was so rich it would make your eye water if idling in the garage (even with the doors open). I leaned it out 2 stages in cruise mode and one in power mode and it is MUCH better now.

Ok maybe I need to try that..., what engine are you running it on on, just out of curiosity?
