I was transporting my 67 Satellite and managed to puncture the newer steel gas tank. Can I repair or need to replace?

That neck grommet is a royal PITA to install.

A little bit of dish soap goes a long way. Anything to lubricate the inside of the grommet is a plus.

Beautiful car, put a spectra tank in my 67 Coronet, no leaks perfect fit. Even came with a new lock ring and gasket. Most rad shops today won’t try to fix a tank that’s had fuel in it

I had a gas tank that had been sitting empty for about 10 years. It had a dent and I figured I could pull it out with my stud gun. Thinking as long as it has been empty no way any traces of gas left-WRONG. I pulled the trigger on the stud gun to weld the copper nail and boom. For a moment I didn't know what had happened. Replace your tank for $150

Anyone know who makes the tanks for Vans ? Box has Taiwan on it.
