So I have put my whole dash back together on a stand I made. Can't find the power source for the yellow wire ( 3" long ) that operates light above the ignition switch. Looked on the wiring chart I have for a 69 Charger 500, R/T and SE. Am I blind? Also the wiring harness for the 4 speed console is that just the the red and pink wire harness? Thanks

You need to have the light package option to have the harness. It does not plug into the stock dash harness.

Have nothing like that. The dash had the light attached to the ignition when I took it apart during the restoration. I got the car like 15 years ago with no drive train and dash harness's. Thanks will have to look into that to c what else I am missing.

Sorry to hijack
sorry to hijack. I’m doing the same wiring on a ‘70 with the A01 light package. Can you please describe what each wire is or where it goes?
1. Blue light on single yellow - is that the key or ash tray light?
2. Long yellow wire all alone = ?
3. Yellow wire with “L” connector = ?
4. Yellow wire with straight connector = ?
5. Clear bulb = ?
6. Pink wire - where does it connect?
THANK YOU!!

Inbox full. Might be easier to download FSM if others don’t chime in. 70 kinda a harness by itself but can figure out with FSM or DM me if you want

If you don't find or sort it out. My Road Runner dash is still pretty accessible. I'm busy, but can take a look in a day or so. Only light that I do not have is an ash tray light. Everything works as it should.

The factory service manual isn’t very clear in this circuit vs what I see in my car. I appreciate your help

You should start your own post on what your problems are. To much cross fire when high jacking a post. FSM has most of what you need to see. 70 has different wiring vs 68-69 models.

Examples of differences I’ve seen personally are map light has a plug in the glove box above liner, door jam switches incorporated in this circuit, pink wire goes to back of fuse box on pink circuit I believe is there time delay you’ll have to look 70 key light incorporated on steering column hence the time delay canister ( silver canister in pic of 68-69 )

yes i couldn't find anything in the service manual. But did find some info. its part of an A01 option with map light an interior lights with a time delay for the lights to go off like 5 seconds after the door is shut. I found in the old harness, the harness and connectors
