I have searched high and low for hours looking for replacement pigtail or an actual connector that I can repin.
72 B-Body I have a new ingnition switch installed that came with a shiny new male/female 8 pin bullet connector

Original burnt to and looking for the harness side female/male 8 pin connector.

Any options other than cutting one from a can and pig-tailing it in the harness? Funny I have been everywhere and found ford and gm one but this MOPAR is know high failure item yet I don't even know how to search it by who makes it.
Been to several site drilling in catalogs. HELP
 
Suggest trying familycar.com. I found some electrical parts on that web site. Although they don't have a new bulkhead connector for my 73 Rd Rnr (that has burn marks just like your pic). I'll probably have to get a used one.

Well after a year of searching for a new replacement options here is what I did to fix my issue.
This is the harness side so I only clipped off the burnt connector butts and left as much wire as possible. Actually the innerds were clean and flexible.

The clear connector is the male and that was installed on the ignition switch side. All connectors were crimped with the Packard 56 crimper dies and soldered.
So there is a 6way and 4 way connector used. While there are many options I chose these since I had no need for it to be weather tight and already had Packard 56 stuff for headights and relay upgrade.Here is the items.

I also got some smaller gauge terminals for the smaller wires for the orange light feed and seatbelt pair.

The picture does not really show this well but the ignition switch only carries 5 power wires.

Yellow-Start
Black -Accessory(this runs pretty much the dash)
Blue -Ignition 1
Brown -Ignition 2
Red -Battery Feed 12V+ in to switch
Now I have 6 positions in the new plug. I used the 6th spot to create a fused EXTRA switched accessory power feed. You can see the inline 10amp fuse. Basically I cut 1/4 in insulation out on the Accessory Black wire 6 inches back and soldered in 16g pigtail. I can use this for my fuel pump, fan relay, amp turn on and probably some other stuff that I want to shut off when I turn of the key.

Yes the fuse block has a position available as a spade but I did not want to use it so I can fuse it. I had to mod my fuse block as the original accessory(radio,light ect.) had to be moved and re-fused further back on the dash harness. I used the initial fuse rating that the manual called for and connected it on the fuse accessory backplane directly.

Is this a currant electrical issue?If so the alternator gauge & wires need a good look-see:icon_compress:
 
This was how I bought the car. All the alternator bypass to battery mods and ammeter bypass was also done. This harness was horrendous. Surprise car never caught fire.
