The smoke wasn't anywhere near as bad this morning, I think it's just the wind is blowing the opposite way, the fire is still only like 35% contained getting into allot of granite, just maybe it will help & act as a natural fire break... Thanks for all the well wishes guys, It's uplifting me for sure...

Thanks 64BEL & everyone else, for all your concern & well wishes, it is very well appreciated, we had a bunch of wild life coming thru today, way more than normal, we have a herd of deer normally 13-14 strong, a few new born fawns, then one sometimes two bucks, today there were, probably 40+ with at-least 6 bucks & the turkeys are all on the move too, usually aren't around here tell mid October, kind of make me wonder if it's a sign of something to come...

Dang it It's Back to really smoky again, wind shifted again, smoke all day so far, I'm so damn bored but mostly just sick of this stuff, at-least it's been clearing up @ night, but really too late to work out in the yard or garage... I have little babies next door & I don't want to wake them or my neighbor Darren, Ca. Fish & Game Warden, he's been getting up @ like 3:30am to go to work during this stuff, poor guy... How do I know ??, I'm awake for the most part, energy galore, haven't done hardly anything for like 13-14 days now & can't hardly sleep... Got a decent report last night from my uphill neighbor Tom, a US Forestry Service supervisor big wig, he was telling me, they are actually, back burning to help stop the fire, to redirect it to non-populated area with lots of granite, not as many trees, with well over 210,000 acres chard/burned & just less than 40% contained now... 255+sguare miles... Lots of planes & heli's flying over occasionally still... I sent old Pop's, off to my Brothers house, to get him out of all the smoke, it's not bad in the house at all with the A/C going, but didn't want him to deal with this stuff, too old... It's just me & my dog "Buddy" now...

Car **** is enough for me...LOL... Honey came up today, that helped some & a good back massage always does the trick too... yeah my neighbor is a great guy, he knows some of them guys on that show {can't remember the name now}, from the academe & tells me a few stories, but doesn't really talk about work too much, allot of drug paraphernalia type crap, allot of normal police type work mostly, people from the city in campgrounds or on boats & fishing etc. & people with out fishing or hunting licenses, stupid stuff really... We sit & BS about football or cars or family usually... I'm sure Darren knows, but I doubt he would tell me, until it is a closed case thou....

I'm glad it's still about 30 miles away, but it's getting closer to my Aunt & Uncles place up the hill above Twain Harte area to the east...

snakeyes that time laps of the Rim Fire was pretty cool video...

I see there was 0.10-0.30" rain all over the place, in the valley & north of us & all around us, but none on the area where I live or the Rim/Yosemite fire... They are 60% contained supposedly & will be 100% contained by the 20th of Sept. maybe, only if we don't have a big wind shift or something else happens... damn another 18 days of smoke, I hope not...
