aboard. Agree that the choke may be sticking closed. Check all of the carb linkages for free movement, no binding and if choke is electric (it should be if it isn't) make sure the connections are clean and tight.

Sharp car. A friend of mine also has a 73 Charger and he put the 71 nose and tail on. It has an automatic and I believe a 440. His is red.
