Pretty much what you have there. I had a fellow install my carpet in my car with and 8 point cage but thats what he did. Cut slits and the holes. Not much else you can do.
i assume the roll bars are permanent and welded and not bolted to the car....RIGHT?
if they are bolted i woulda took em out ,,,,layed the rug,,,,then reinstalled
if welded.....there aint much you can do but whatr youre doing.
lowes and carpet stores have seam tape for putting carpets together....youll need a special iron....or better yet,,,,call a carpet place and have a guy come over and do it for ya...ITS NOT EASY TO DO!
i make a cardboard template and pre cut the carpet from the underside(much easyer).i also line up my seems to go under my seats(so you cant see them).had one done by a profesional guy here in vegas,he made the seam invisable.never did pull it up to find out how he did it,sold the car without ever finding out.
