The turn signal indicators and instrument backlights work--sometimes. Usually for a few minutes then they quit...might work again later sometimes no. I assume it's a grounding issue. That said, I don't see any grounds on the schematics so I figure it grounds through screws in the dash frame or..? They all seem tight and making good contact though. Any ideas? Thanks for any help!

I'll add that the oil and brake idiot lights work fine, all other interior lights and all exterior lights also work...

check for loose pins on your circuit board. Reach up behind the cluster and wiggle the connector to the circuit board and see if the dash lights come on and off.

Thanks...I'll grab a pillow and check it out!

The cluster on my 64 is grounded through the dash & body sheetmetal. I took the precaution of adding ground wiring throughout the car while I was re-assembling it. I hate chasing grounding issues.
If your cluster pins seem snug, you could be having issues with your headlight switch/dimmer for the dash lights and the flasher or column wiring/switch for the signals.
