Is it just me or do led work lights suck?

An "old school" sealed beam look with an LED element sure would sell, I'd bet.
Hell those "imac" looking ones sell and some are crazy expensive.
Not sure why no one has offered one for us old car guys.
The ones that I got for my Jeep from JW Speaker looked sort of old school, not the ring of LED’s that look dumb. I don’t know if they fit other vehicles, though. The ones I got weren’t “one size fits all”, they have lenses that focus the beam specifically for the models they are designed for. The even make them for Harley Davidsons.
Because of the way the lens focuses the beam they are not the same as just putting a brighter LED in a housing, they actually are focused so that they are “tight” on the drivers side and focus past oncoming traffic, and illuminate more of the ditch. Up here where many people die in collisions with moose and Buffalo they are life savers.

The best ones I have found are the Harbor Freight Icon

what are you guys liking for a magnetic underhood LED shop light? I want something that will easily stick under the hood and long enough to illuminate the whole engine bay but not have too much of a problem casting shadows.

I have been doing drywall for 40 years we used halogen lights when sanding to check for imperfections, we tried led worklights for that, will not work it floods the surface and actually covers the imperfections, never would have thought that, but it does. I have new led lights in my new shop bright as hell, would never use them in a paint booth, or for detail work.
