is it true that a 71-72 Charger decklid will fit on a 73-74 ?

I read somewhere that the difference was the lock cyllinder and the underbracing for the wing. Is that true ?

Yes. Difference is 73/4 have a larger lock cylinder hole.
71 has cutouts for wing which can also be found on early 72's.

fits the same, just using the propper cilinder for the decklid
