Same thing in my 69! It's just about impossible to read the 4 small gauges, even in broad daylight, but the clock is as white and legible as can be.
In my case the speedo needle is broken off too so it's worthless. Adding up the cost to repair or replace everything ($800 for the 2 big gauges from Classic) I decided to go with a complete Dakota Digital analog unit. Went to Summit customer appreciation day and got 10% off. The DD setup includes all new sensors too. I never thought I'd go that route but made sense to go 100% new to me.
