Its been well over a year since this derelict Satellite followed me home. The paint is done. Now all the shiny and/or new parts can go back on.

The link is from a year ago when I started the dissasembly. I dont like yellow cars, and currently I have a 73 in yellow. So the 72 had to change colors. Satellite anyone?

That is a really unusual way to mount a rear sway bar.
Nice color....I love B-5!

Kinds looks KB5.

I like it.

I know, it is odd going to the rear. Putting the rear end in the car now with the cast aluminum diff cover, with the axle up to the bump stops the bar was contacting the cover. Had to make some 3/16" steel plates to shim the bar away from the axle a little. When test fitting it I had a stock cover on the Dana, lots of room. The big diff cover was also touching the fuel tank. flange. I rolled the lip on the tank for clearence, I hope it dont leak.

It is actually Q5 Coral Turquoise Poly. Looks a lot like B5, just with a hint of green depending on the light.

Love that color Q5 Turquoise

looking great too

That's $3000 leaning against the wall right there. Man this world is getting crazy.

I think I am very happy with that choice though. 315/40's on the back.

Looks great.

I don't know how you can work in such a claustrophobic space! That's would drive me nuts.

I found a great wheel & tires source
'free' mounting & balancing, hub registers, valves & lug-nuts
& 'free' shipping too, in the lower North America/USA,
in like 3-7 days too, not that slow boat from China

every set I priced out, for car or especially my 99 Dakota 4x4
was about $400-$800 savings
by not paying for mounting balancing & shipping

You REALLY need to create a thread in the "Member's Restorations" section. This isn't merely trivial "look what I have" crap, it's a labor of love that would be more appreciated in its appropriate place -- Member's Restorations. (I had to post something to subscribe!)

Maybe? But I am not doing a nut and bolt explanation of every aspect of this build. I am doing it for me. Selfish maybe, but I am at the age now where I really dont care about much else. Been there done that, this is what I am doing.

Aging, when you make to your 60's, at least for me, all the other stuff in life can kiss my ***. Politics, entertainment, personalitys, they can all go kiss my ***. Dont care about that stuff much anymore. When you realize that the number of days in front of you pale to the ones behind you, better pay attention to what really matters to you.

I am not in the working world anymore, dont have to be nice to people I despise. Raised my kids, they are all responsible adults making there way in life and doing well, my job there is done. Actually I just ignore most things, not worth my time. And time is the key. I have maybe 10 years ahead of me to enjoy the things I really like. That is whats important now, building this car and enjoying it with what time God gives me on this Earth. That is what matters.

Sorry for the rant.

I kind of see your point as my years are feeling more finite.
I’m not criticizing you in the least , but I find it hard for me to flip the switch and stop caring about the things I’ve always cared about. sometimes I wish I COULD flip that switch.

That's an interesting wheel.

Kinda hard to find "modern" styled wheels that look right on classsics.

Can we see a full on or 3/4 side shot with the wheels on?

Wheel choices are very few when trying to get the correct offset and wide width. The rears are an 18x11 with 5" back space. Fronts are 18x8 with 4.5" backspace. They were off the shelf, not custom made. A custom wheel would have cost twice what these were.

When I get the front suspension on and can roll the car out I will get more pictures.
