Thanks Ghost, I needed that after doing snow removal today. What a little piece of paradise you have there! We got between 8" - 10". It blew a bit overnight so it was hard to tell. I was out at 6:30 am getting it done then went to work till 12:30. Came home and finished up. This was at 2:00 pm when half of it had already melted. Bye, Bye Blizzard of 2020
I do miss this time of year flyin for the A.F; this was taken about 12+ years ago on a weekend Military vacation swap out in Mele Kalikimaka land. No tent for this flyboy with a penthouse suite!!! Fun old times this time of year!
Sunny and 65 here in Land of the People today. Mowed the fescue lawn again yesterday. Sprayed pre-emergent today on the Bermuda grass.
We had a light, slushy snowfall today, first one of the season. It's still above freezing though so it's melting about as fast as it collects.
Last night storm with heavy wind and rain gave a Christmas Day mess . My 25 yr old Blue spruce was toppled over. I have fence damage siding and it’s laying on top of my AC but the family is well and harm in the house. Family coming over all get a Hatchet and a chainsaw before dinner.
Very mild and sunny today.....going to check the house and fences tomorrow for lose bits....supposed to be 70mph winds and torrential rain tomorrow PM....Happy Boxing Day!
Got 9" here in beautiful Downtown Lisle! No big deal. Let winter get it all shook out! The sun is sticking around a little more every day and that feels good. Come on summer!
hope all you guys back (north) east are doing well as could be expected I was watching some of the 'weather channel' coverage of late We had a week & a 1/2 of that BS, high winds then big ass snow flakes it settled down & the next night snow again, wind & sleet the next day, making shit really icy then it warms to just about 40* for a couple of days, during the day & back to 20's at night so it partially melts then it sluffs of the roof & makes a mess of all the streets/driveways/decks etc. black ice overnight, makes for fun trips to town then they spread the pumice/volcanic stuff all over (we don't do salt here) then snow again the next day, messy/dirty truck now it just kept coming we got 2ft-2.5ft (probably near 4ft of actual snowfall, melt & refreeze etc.) or so accumulated that stuck around, in 9 to 10-ish days we got something like 12+ft up the hill, 20-30 miles or so skiers are loving it, me not so much The older I get the less I like dealing with snow, what it ruins too I use to love the snow Now, I hate shoveling snow, have I mentioned that ? mostly gone now, but more next week it'll be like that from now tell probably mid-March I'd still rather be here than back there stay warm & dry my friends' throw another log on the fire or a lump of coal for the assholes I see NYC & DC just shut down, with a couple of inches glad it's not like that here
It’s bad in Orange County, My daughter is stuck doing a triple at the rehab center. Most of the nurses and nurses aids couldn’t get to work. Will be starting my third session of Cleaning the driveway soon.
