I've read through a few posts that cover (Somewhat) what I am trying to figure out. Carb suggestion request

Why so? The pistons had a different wrist pin diameter so couldn't use the stock rods. Had the Manley rods and chose them because....well, I had them.
 
I may have gotten the aluminum wrong. they may be the 4340 forged steel. It's been since October since the build.
That would make more sense, aluminum rods just would not last long on the street.
 
Carb choice is really a personal one. I prefer the 4160 Holley 750 (vacuum secondary and electric choke). I seem to be able to set those up the best.
