I've read through a few posts that cover (Somewhat) what I am trying to figure out. Carb suggestion request

Use it. Probably a 750 DP. Should be a number on the choke tower. Try that carb first before you blow money on something else.
Had this on my 383 but always ran rich or just flat out ran like crap. Mechanic rebuilt and still we had trouble getting it to work properly.

You've got a lousy mechanic. It's simple and much cheaper to learn what you have. Those holleys aren't rocket science. I've always considered holleys one step above a lawn mower carb because they have a cruise circut. Why blow $500-$600 when you have in your hand all you need?

First, you don't know my mechanic so no need to hurl an insult. Second, I find the Edelbrock/carter carbs much easier to tune.

Confirmed it is an 850 DP. We are going to try this first (once the car gets back from paint), My second choice based on the feedback and info her, will be an Edelbrock 750.

Thought about the TQ looking Demon, and would love an original TQ, but I doubt I could find one.
