You don't have to completely strip the floor, unless you just want to ! I wire wheeled any rough spots then etch primed all the bare metal. Replaced seam sealer then coated with this sealer. Here's what I started with .... and of course one has to be upside down !

Around my neck of the woods people are asking 7500 for a car like that and they ain't getting it....
