I’ve used a similar product called FatMat on my truck and GTX, it’s worth the effort and expense.
 
did it do anything for heat.

It sure seems to, my right foot would get uncomfortably warm because the header collector is directly below the throttle pedal. I installed the FatMat when I replaced the carpet, it still gets warm but noticeably less warm. In a black car with a black interior, any reduction in interior temperature is a good thing…

I live in the valley of the sun and needed something to take the interior temps down a notch
