One of the few Larson flubs.

That operation is actually more difficult than as illustrated because the "standard" screw does not capture the blade of the driver.
IE- the slot goes all the way across, which could cause a less careful "operator" to slide the driver off the screw.

You know you've seen that happen.

Slotted screws are so messed up. The slot in the screw has straight sides and the driver is tapered, unless you have a hollow ground screw driver
 
Up here in Canada, we have square drive Robertson screws. They come in 3 different drive sizes according to size of screw. These are used mainly in furniture and house construction.
 
Not a big square drive fan. Especially those square/ not quite Phillips combo heads.

Give me a correctly sized and "grip tip" Phillips driver in a correctly machined Phillips screw.
 
Does anyone remember these limited edition Cheerios? Instead of 'O's they used 3 and 4 for cereal shapes. This was #1, apparently they made more in this series.
