I bought a B&M line lock for my 69 GTX. From my master cylinder I have 2 lines out, both go to distribution block. From the distribution block, two lines exit to frt right and frt left brakes, third line exits to rear brakes.

I thought this should be mounted after the distribution block but I can't because the front lines aren't tied together.

How has everyone else installed theirs?

I have mine mounted in the drivers side wheel well.

It is plumbed after the proportioning valve.
It's mounted on the other side of the valve hidden away.

following along. debating on one for my Charger.

I’ve got a Hurst line lock too, but not yet installed. As I understand it, you block off one of the front brake lines coming out of the distribution block. Run the single front brake line into the line lock. Coming out of the line lock, you install a “T” that lead to both front brakes

That is an interesting idea. I'm not sure I have the room down there to cut and flare lines with the engine in place....

This was on my A body, but same idea. I bought a bracket for a Chevy distribution block. In this case I mounted both the distribution block and line lock on the same bracket.

I used to own a 57 Chev 3 ton. Used it to tow and deliver boats. I put the line lock on the back wheels to secure the truck on a launch ramp. Also used wood chocks.
This is of no use to you folks at the drag strip.

Well, it can be. On my previous cars with automatics, I installed the line-lock on the rear lines and backward. That way I could engage the line lock, then use the brake pedal to modulate pressure to the front brakes.

I installed mine by cutting into the line out of the rear resevoir (which is for the front brakes) and installed the unit there - before the distribution block. Worked like a charm.

I've heard of doing it that way. Usually to enable long rolling burnouts to show off.

I did the same on my GTX, mounted on a plate riveted to the inside of the frame rail. The plate also holds a Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve.
