I recently bought a ‘66 Coronet 500 Vert. It was originally a 383 4 spd car. Someone has replaced with a 340. I would love to get it back to factory. I have not had any luck locally so far. Thanks!

Dont know how close this is to you. Also don't know anything about it. But here ya go.

That’s not a 383, the distributor is in the back. The other two pictures are transmissions.

I have a 1960 cast 361 with factory 383 bore. Block only $250.00. Iron heads and 727's also available.

I have a complete 66 383 that needs a rebuild. Not sure if you could pry it out of my hands or not. But I am also only 2 hours away.

need the bell housing as well , sbm and bbm are different bolt patterns . so for the flywheel to fit , it's a 130 t , you need a 130t flywheel bbm bellhousing .

The 361 has a way way smaller bore. (4.125)
I would not every try to over bore them near that far to 383. (4.25)
That is a huge .125 difference in my opinion

Need to have the pilot go in the crankshaft for a 4speed
