Good evening all,

I am looking at a 69 Coronet for sale near me with a rather odd fender tag. I did some digging and found out it is from the Lynch Rd. plant and they are just weird. I have figured out some of what it means but would like a full decode, or a pointer to the resource I need to decode it myself. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

My cheat sheets are all still trapped on a dead computer, so from memory;
Your VIN: WM23H9A226912

M = Medium price - Superbee in the Coronet line
23 - (2) 2 door (3) hard top
E63 = 383 4-bbl
D32 = 727 Auto
212-317637 = shipping order #
F5 F5 = Body paint
M6G = Medium trim grade, (6) vinyl buckets, Green
F8 = upper door paint
1F = short for V1F = full green vinyl top
8X = short for V8X, black transverse stripe
C16 = console

926= Engine assembly = 383-4 Bbod/auto/335hp/orange.
595 = rear axle assy (can't really recall more without ref. material)
093 = last digits of auto-trans part # - 28920093

Top line is gate/sequence/VIN factory assembly staging info

Much Appreciated. From what I have been able to find so far the rear end is a 8 3/4 SureGrip with 3:23 gears. The rest seems to line up. Seller says it was her grandfather's car and has a 440 in it. May have been swapped, she may be wrong. We'll see. Again, Thank you Here are the few pics she posted.

Anything under $5k would be a good buy for you, not sure where she’s at on it but I would start at $3500
Thank you,
The ad on FB is listed at $7,000. I contacted her on messenger and she immediately dropped to $6,200 before I even brought up price. Don't think she has had many bites. She also said she is willing to negotiate.

Be sure to check the fenders, hood, and decklid over good for rust/damage. Those parts are not reproduced for Coronets and can be a challenge to find. Not to mention how much money nice peices are bringing.

In that case, take $4500, offer $3800, and be prepared to walk at $4500 all in. Unless you’re like me and you take a couple extra hundies, and go up to $4800….. “I have a little more, but that’s my gas money, I sure hope I make it home”!

Motor looks like a mid 70s 400 or 440.

She did say it is a 440. I'll post more here once I go look at it. They're 3 1/2 hours away so it will probably be weekend after next.
