I plan on adding a shift kit to the replacement trans to mate up with the stroked motor but I'm wondering if I should do that with the original trans too. I'm not sure how long it will be before I finish the stroker motor, I have to raise the funds. I've received a rocker arm set from a friend who has built up his 318 but went a different direction. He also has a Holley 650 Double Pumper for me at a discounted price. Things are coming together slowly. The motor I'm getting comes with a 360 - police 4bbl intake, a new distributor (brand unknown) and an ignition system (also unknown). The valve covers are missing but I'm sure I can find some. What I need to decide is:
- what stroker kit?
- What Cam? (stock 14 road wheels with Highway gears)
-Which Headers? (I see a lot of good reviews of Hedman, I will make a custom dual exhaust with a experienced friend)
Again, not looking to drag race, I just want to be able to have some fun. Trying to keep it reasonable on gas consumption, but this needs to be viable as a daily driver. I appreciate all the suggestions so far !
- Air Filter and Assembly? (I'm looking at K&N, I have a functional AirGrabber door, but not a complete system...yet)
