I'm installing a shift kit in a 727 in the vehicle and there is a spring change in the servo. Ive done it on a bench with the tailshaft housing removed, but i don't see a good way to do it without tearing stuff apart.

Anybody have way of doing this?
Should I just leave the stock spring in it?

Do not leave the stock spring in it. If your shifting it manually at any time it will not release the band fast enough and act like its locking up for a second (because it kind of is). It's not too bad of a job to do in the car, the worst part is getting the F$%#@^& snap in the extension housing back on. In the car that snap right likes to slip down a little and makes it kind of a booger to get back on. A lot easier if you have access to a lift.
