lower compression build questions

You should have a ton of piston to valve space - even though there are no valve reliefs the piston is waaaaay down in the hole. The cams you should be running won't get anywhere near them.

Stegs, I have a low Comp '78/400 & thought about the 75cc head and a mild cam.
The only issue I have about it all is, how much duration & lift can the stock engine take with these heads?

I was told that you can run a voodoo cam 268/276, on eddy heads using the "kit" i think some parts can be reused from the 906 heads as the cam is well within specs.

The 268/276 cam provided enough vac for my power brakes....while giving a nice boost in performance plus a mean sounding idle

he is a video of a 340 small block. he has a 8.5:1 compression motor. He has a full tti exhaust and a whiplash cam.

My 440, couldnt do what he does in his car. Now i fully understand he might have gears, its a lighter car, higher revving motor

But the fact it pulls hard all the way thru.....either i need a heck of a tune or i need to wake up my motor.

IM 99% its my cam. Its a step below the factory 440 magnum cam. I think it makes a great driving cam, but not much in the performance area

the fact his guy in a 8.5:1 motor can roll 10-15 mph and smoke the tires just blows my mind.....

my 440 should be able to do that, or atleast close.

First snoking the tire will not make the car move any faster.
I would start with getting the most out of your existing parts before wasting money on expensive new stuff.
Was the cam degreed or just installed? Has the distributor been worked on? The ignition system been upgraded?
You might be anazed at the changes a tuneup specialist can make with the existing parts.

The Barracuda has a well matched COMBINATION in a light car. You, don't. Without knowing a lot more about your combo and tuneup, I can't say spending almost $2K will get you the results you want. Power is not the key to a hard running car. It's a component of it, but when everything is well matched and well tuned you'd be amazed at how low a hp figure one needs...
