So... we have examples of a few original cars WITH the rocker moldings. But, somebody back in 1968 decided to make aftermarket rocker moldings for a road runner ? That's comical. I thought they were an option, which M25 is the code for rocker moldings, and part of the A87 decor package. But, back in my cheap-*** area, I didn't recall seeing them , but it seems that is incorrect.

According to the 1969 Options and Accessories report:

About 9.2% of the RM21 cars sold in the US came with the molding.
About 14.3% of the RM23 cars sld in the US had it.

Thank you . Obviously not a popular option, so some may have not seen/noticed it ( me ) but available.

Not trying to give Mike / Charles a heart attack here. Would just like to see what the option code on a build sheet looks like. With the plethora of fine photo examples that have been posted surely a broadcast sheet exists somewhere. Especially with all these pristine one owner cars storied above. Surely one exists for 9% or 14%.
And yes, it's entirely possible that aftermarket trim was produced. Not saying that it was for the rockers but aftermarket accessories have been produced since the 50s for new cars.

I could be a Dick if I wanted to Charles / Mike but not trying to be one in this case. Relax. Simple question, would just like to see something more than a bunch of pics.
