A major milestone and great day at Cecil County Dragway’s Test and Tune session on Saturday 5/26. The car’s first pass ever resulted in a 10.88 @ 104.56 on 5 year old 29.5x9.0 M/Ts and running out of fuel after the 1/8. Need to work out a few kinks (as expected) goal is to run 10.00 index.

AND why did you run out of gas?lol. Looks pretty stout.

I run about the same combo, but 499ci, same cam w/1.5 rockers and same heads but with a crossram intake. You should get to 10.00s no problem with that intake and carb.
Keep us posted.

Guy- To tell you the truth, the crossram is what started this whole thing! The LOOK. The SOUND. I've got one on the shelf with a set of modified 750 Eddies, linkage, etc. ready to go... maybe after I break into the 9s what's your best ET with the crossram?

Best 10.19 @ 130
Thru mufflers and air cleaners. I haven't tried all the tricks to run quickest, usually testing to see what it takes to hit the 10.50 index

Very nice ! Hey keep your mph at 104 and we can be a good race. LoL. Yea that bad boy should have easy low 10's or better. I hope to get to Cecil later this year and make a few passes. I plan to race with the NSS club that has been racing at Cecil this year. Ron

Great, can't wait to finally catch up with you Ron. I've heard good things about the NSS club you speak of. I'm planning to have my stuff together for 422 up at the Grove in July during (dare I say) "Menards Chevy Show".

That would be great to meet up with you. I may not make a race until September at Cecil with the NSS club as I need to get new slicks first and it may be a bit before I can get them. My brother races his 64 with the NSS club at Cecil and everyone really likes it so far. It don't cost a ton of money to run with them so I like that. Good luck with your next outing. Ron

Fresh rubber, little more preload and stiffen those shocks up and low 10's for sure!! Who's shock is that??
Hope to see you at South Mountain on the Chrysler Carlisle weekend.I plan on racing Friday & Sunday:thumbsup:
