Manual steering column HELP

Helping a friend of mine with his 69 RR with manual steering, floor shift. Does anyone have a break down of how the column goes together? He got is car in pieces and not seeing how everything went together, we are kind of puzzled. The manual shows a column shift. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
