Manuel trans cars with A/C

heavy duty cooling with shroud

Was a fan shroud optional equipment? I just ordered one for mine because i thought it was missing. (1969 Charger R/T 440)
But maybe it never had one?

Talking about this part

Sustained rpm yes but a red line for a car with 2.71 gears is the same as a car with 4.88s.
5500 rpm is 5500 rpm no matter the gear.
If you are tossing belts there is a problem.
Cop cars ac will run at any speed unless its wfo.
The one I had was equipped with an ac shutoff switch. Don't know why, all one needed do it put the controls to "vent".

A shroud was never, per se, a stand alone order-able optional piece of equipment but part of different package applications.

Different applications require different parts.

For 69, the 22" 053 radiator with 130 shroud were standard on 440 automatic 3.23 gear applications like the Charger or Coronet R/T and GTX.

My car has the 26" Radiator.
How can i determine if my car had a fan shroud from the factory? Is it possible without buildsheet?
