Media blasting question.

I borrowed a portable 100# canister and a big shop compressor from a friend. Bought the nickel slag media and went after the rear axle housing (removed from car) in my Bee sitting at end of driveway. Donning full mask, coveralls, gloves and face shield I started the experiment of DYI. Three hours later....I had gone through a 100# sack of media, had bled the water out of line at least three times, stopped and reloaded the hopper three times, was soaked to my undies with sweat and had the green media on everything within 75 feet! I had grit in every orifice and sweaty crack of me and it took almost an hour to blow down, sweep and get rid of the crap I shot/sprayed everywhere. The humiliation of the wife forcing me to strip down in the garage as she took pictures was the final straw.....she threatened to post on FB! I made the appointment to have a professional blast the car at that point! Best money I ever spent and the results are well worth the money.

The BEST reason ever for having a Professional do the blasting for you. Thanks for posting something similar to what I was thinking.
