I'm not trying to be an asshole, but it looks like a poly cam to me, which will not work in the more common LA 318, or any LA.

I love the help......what does LA mean ??? I have a 66 Satellite w/318 and purchased these parts with the intention up boring .030 over to achieve a little more power ...............change my mind...now I want to sell the parts

To be clear, the 1966 318 was still the POLY version, the A engine, not LA.

In 1967 in the U.S. the 318 went to the LA design, the same as the 273. The heads were totally different from the poly that preceded it. The valve layout was different, which is why the poly cam won't work in an LA. There would be some intake valves with exhaust timing and vice versa.

Poly cams are not super easy to come by, or cheap.

That's a nice grind for a "one or two steps up from stock" build.

Why does it look like the lobes are not fully machined?
