Hello all!!
It is with a heavy heart that I am making this posting. My Father, who was an avid Mopar man since he was old enough to drive passed away this past July. He left my mother, myself and brother, behind. My mom has advanced demintia and has no real income (just a tiny bit from social security) and we need to do some major repairs on her home so that it can either be sold or we can move her back into it. She has been living with me since he passedm she is unable to be alone anymore. While I would love to hold onto the collection and finish them I can not afford it and my mother needs the funds from them in order to provide for her. With no real retirement and no helath insurance, all her expenses are out of pocket and are taking up all her income so there is nothign left for any emergencies or to repair their home. Unfortunatly their home needs alot of work as dad started hoarding the last 10 years somewhat and then he let their inside cat destroy the inside of their home so it is in need of major repairs.
Anyway on to what we have.....
I have just started to go through everything and it will take me awhile to get through it all to be able to provide a more complete listing of parts etc but I will provide an brief overview now.
Cars:
1967 GTX convertible w/440 4 speed and Dana rear, car is blue with black stripes, body and frame I believe are in good shape (they were when he bought it and it has been garaged ever since) I know he spent years collecting parts to restore it. His intent was consourse quality when complete. He bought new orginal or show quality used parts which is what took him so long. I am unsure what all there is for it, I know there are tail light lenses and besels that he spent alot of money and time on. I believe he also has a new top for it as well, I know there is a new boot for the top for sure.
1966 Belvedere or Satellite hemi 4 speed car, this car is nice shape body wise(orginial paint still shines with some rubbing compound) it is silver in color. He found this riding the rodes one day, it belonged to a young man who bought it, drove it, got shipped over to Vietnam and never made it home and it sat since. Off of the top of my head I want to say it has less than 50,000 org miles, maybe in the 20,000's ( I will look when I get back up to their house) it is also sitting in the garage. Someone stripped the motor, trans, rear and some of the interior at some point, he was in the process of collecting the correct numbers matching parts, I know he picked up a rear, and I want to say he had got the right motor as well. He also has a collection of parts for this car. The car is in really nice shape for having sat for so long.
1966 or 68 Sport Fury Convertible.... this is a driver. I am unsure of the drivetrain, I know it is a big block auto car. It is dark green in color. He used to drive this to car shows, meets and just to cruise around in. It is in great shape, is it concourse quality - no, but is is a very clean straight car. I will look it over really well when I get back up there.
1966/8 B body 4 door sedan in really nice driveable condition (not sure of the model off the top of my head) it is blue in color. I am unsure if he bought this as a donor car, to put back on the road or just to have.
plenty of 66 and close to B body parts from interior trim to body panels and things in between.
I would almost like to sell it as a lot to someone but know that I will end up having to break it down. I know enough to know what these cars are worth approx. While I am not expecting the top top dollar I also will not be low balled or let someone steal something for nothing. I am neg. on things and reasonable and just ask that if your interested that you are reasonable as well, the more you get the more I will work with it.
I will start getting pictures together within the next few weeks.
There is also orginal owners manuls, service books, spec sheets, advertising materials, neons and a ton of misc stuff. He was a true collector who passed before he was able to see any of his projects complete.
He was a automotive painter for most of his life, he did many custom and restoration jobs and actually painted a number of drag cars and boats in the 80's and early 90's. He was a perfectionist and this was reflected in the quality of cars and parts he bought. I will say all of the cars are straight not rust or bondo buckets.
THis is located in VA.
Thanks for your consideration and understanding in the reasons why I am selling for my mom.
