Mopar Turquoise Engine Paint

Here’s another shot of mine with the plastic gone and better lighting.

It’s a damn tough color to replicate.

The PPG distributor here works with a Mopar restoration shop. Here’s their formula. Oil pan shot is original paint. 67RT, OCT built. Lighting makes it very hard to tell from a camera. Oil pan is in the sun, engine is under fluorescent light.

Do you have the PPG paint code that you had mixed? I see the can has a Shopline label. I'd like to get this mixed too. Thanks

Was it a custom mix, or is there a code for it too?

It was custom. My local PPG shop is the one that created and mixes for one of the Mopar resto guys that sells these colors online. It looks great in my opinion. This was JEA, activated. Just use the regular activator, not high gloss. Unless you want it super glossy.

My research has told me that the green shade of turquoise is from 62-67 and the blue shade of turquoise is from 68-71. After that it is corporate blue.

Each year of the service manuals show the paint mix. Our painter will take the code numbers and have the paint supply shop mix samples. That is what was done with our car.
Don’t know if PPG would have the engine paint formula though.
Didn’t pay enough attention. Jerry has it in the bag. As they say (“you can take that to the bank”).
