I may need to raise the engine about 1/4 inch for header clearance. I read that Shumaker sells a shim-kit but website says they are out of stock. Anyplace else I can buy them? Thanks.

Just as easy to make them yourself and save a ton of money. Aluminum plate 1/8 inch thick does the trick. I say 1/8 because you can layer them for the right height. You may find 1/4 is not the desired thickness so you can stack them. I'd make 4 of them 1/8 and two 1/16 and that way you can level the engine as well as raise it. I use two under each mount on my engine.

Remember , as the mounts are at an angle, a 1/4 " shim will not raise the engine that much. And the studs on the mount may not be long enough to get the nuts back on.
It may be easier to clearance the header.............................MO
