no halluctionations yet, ya i know it's spelled wrong but Kern is still in jail might be able to get away with it, unless RC sees it. no apostrophe either. lived in Hawaii in the 80's went out to the cow farms early on a saturday morning picked a whole grocery bag full of the one's you were referring to, my brother said to eat a handful and slam a coke I was 19 then so dumb as I was. I never did that **** again, wasn't sure If I would ever be normal again at the time

Funny when I was a kid I didn't like mushrooms then acquired a real taste for them...sadly, my wife still hates 'em so when I cook I have to keep the shrooms out and add them to my serving. The sacrifices I have to make...

Those are morels. We pick them here after a forest fire. They sure cook down, though. Just be sure that the stem and cap are all one piece. If you can pull the cap off separately it’s a false morel. Not terribly poisonous, but still not good. I’ve attached photos of false morels that we got from our back yard.View attachment 1107350View attachment 1107351View attachment 1107352

Ive ate a false down here 25 years ago I was told about the bumps It poisoned me felt very lethargic and week for a couple days. who knows? maybe something different.

Those were probably Puffballs and they are delicious fried. The attached picture is from the web.

those are huge never tried them, would have to identify them from a local and see if he gets sick or dies first

Ya gotta watch puffballs, at least up here you do. There’s a species of fly that lay eggs in them. You pick a bunch of perfect looking specimens and get them home to find that half have things living in them.

Yeah, it's weird way that this firm cuts it, but the taste more than makes up for the weird slicing.

One of my client's, has an app in his phone, point click, and identify. Brought some mushrooms from our tree line,in to work one day, he knew what they were, however, pointed his phone at the shroom's, and the phone made a grand musical line, indicating it was edible... kinda neat, if not life saving to some individual's...
