Looks like a good turnout. Glad to see you're enjoying your car!

Well I'm back at it boys.
Never think once your car is done that it is done.
Not in my case.
Last Sunday I was leaving a car show and noticed that my passenger side rear window wasn't down.
Being seat belted in and ready to leave with the group of us that went to the show together I reached over and started cranking the window downwards only to have the glass pop out of its track and fall into the wheel well...:BangHead:
After screaming out a big Fbomb I drove home pissed off - but knew it was my fault.
You see, since I installed new window fuzzies (inner and outer) the glass is stiff going down so I usually lube the glass with glass cleaner and it goes down nicely.
But at the show the sun was on it the whole day no doubt making it even tighter so when I went to roll it down without any type of lube on it - that why it popped out and all I could do is watch it slowly slide don into the wheel well.

So today I started taking things apart...again.

Something is missing.....

It's down there infront of the track it is suppose to sit on.

New window fuzzies are nice and tight.

Now start removing things like the back seat and both upper and lower rear panels.

I did manage to fish out the glass and gave it a good cleaning on the bench.

That's enough for today....I'm beat.

They are! Mine have survived (for the most part) getting abused while being stored in my loft. Scratched to hell but not broken:)

Now with winter here its time to put the car away and start on a couple of fixes on the car.
First is to recurve the distributor.

Years ago I had welded up the slots to lower the mechanical advance amount but wasn't sure by how much.
You can see the welds here.

When I had the engine on the dyno, it was checked and there is 20* mechanical advance. But since my engine has the KB107 pistons in it and they are hypereutectic - I've read that total timing shouldn't exceed 34* when running this type of piston so I had to back off my initial to 13* which gave me a safe total timing of 33*
I want to tighten that up.
A buddy of mine had made this advance plate.

I think he copied the one that FBO offers (or offered at the time).
So I pulled the distributor apart to installed the limiter plate.

But first I wanted to compare my welded up plate with the 20* slot on the round plate to see how close in comparison are the slots.

Yup, pretty much right on the money.

This shot is comparing the 12* slot which is what I'll be using to the welded up one.

Quite the difference.
So with only 12* total mechanical advance I can have the initial set to 20* and the total will come in at 32*.
Time to reassemble.

I cleanup and repainted the vacuum advance pod - I gotta wait for the paint to dry to finish it up.
