My '69 Super Bee project

Car is looking great Chargin, how much longer before she's all painted?

Thanks 747,If all goes well I hope to have it painted this fall. I'll be painting the Dart first, and the Super Bee shortly after.

It's a long agonizing process...I'm diggin' the white though! Do the visors go white also? IMG-20150626-00811.jpgIMG-20150627-00813.jpg

More pulling on the headliner, rear glass molding fitting, and it's starting to look pretty good around the rear window.IMG-20150701-00816.jpgIMG-20150701-00817.jpg

That looks like a pro job to me, one job i never envy anyone lol... I do pray when my turn comes to do it, it looks half as good, naa, i want it to look AS good!!! :)

Thanks Ron,I'm sure yours will be fine when the time comes. I had it all on it,a steamer, hair dryer...lol. I can't even imagine trying to do this with the glass in! One tip...I'm using door panel clips to hold it on the roof rail, they are easy to remove to pull it tighter and don't tear the headliner. Then I hammer on the proper clips.

Yeah baby, 4th of July! My favorite holiday...and I'm Canadian! I went with butyl tape for the rear glass. I made some spacers, test fit the glass and then rolled out the tape. I also put a small bead of urethane around the edge of the tape...I don't know why but I did? It turned out great!IMG-20150704-00823.jpgIMG-20150704-00824.jpgIMG-20150704-00825.jpg

I went through all my interior trim and picked out the best,I think it's suppose to be white on the door and interior quarter on the white interior cars,I will be chrome on mine. Yes,I'm still pulling on that headliner!View attachment 265092

Chargin, you are waaay ahead of me but the grey primer looks familiar!I have a similar old girl sitting in my garage at present. Been looking here in AK for 20 years for a Super Bee and finally found a Coronet 440 for sale with the body work already done. Unfortunately, he didn't address the underside and that is where I am at now. I have a 9" I am thinking about grafting on as mine came with the small pinion 8 3/4...don't think that will take the 440 I am building. Please chime in if I am wrong on that count, I am here to learn. Love the pictures, keep em coming! Mocajava

Boy I wish I would have done my own rear window, I had it installed with Urethane and it ended up high making the molding really rough to put on. I like the color combo, looks really good together!

Cool that the 4th is your favorite holiday, is there any celebration up there?

Yeah 747,I had my own celebration for the 4th! lol. I usually go on vacation every year to the U S,and it seems like I'm always there for the 4th,maybe that's why I like it so much? On vacation,in the U S on the 4th of July, having a blast...I don't see it any better than that! One year I was at a Cincinnati Res game,Coke 400,...AH great memories...

I'm looking for some of these...IMG-20150714-00831.jpg Holds the interior roof rail molding up.

I cut all the cage out of the car, don't need it,don't want it!IMG-20150717-00840.jpg

Well that certainly is a big change.

Yes it is,been thinking about it for awhile....Still stronger than any factory chassis with subframes. I'm not drag racing it with a high powered engine. I just didn't want to see it anymore.

I got the new visors put together and the rear view mirror installed today. Pretty much done with the interior until after it's painted. Does anyone know if you can buy factory looking carpet by the yard...of a roll,or something like that?IMG-20150718-00842.jpgIMG-20150718-00843.jpg

No real updates on the car,I'm in the process of cleaning up the garage and going through some old parts. I did receive my tires and got them mounted. Had to go through a ordeal to get them to avoid the shipping scare from the U S not to mention the horrible dollar. I got a buddy at a kia dealer to get them from a Canadian source that offered free shipping,I did have to pay the Canadian govt $18.00 for a tire fee! I can't make this up! lolIMG-20150724-00852.jpg
