They just sent me an email letting me know that i do not get printed letters anymore (only emails from now on) because they want to do something for the environment.

Yeah of course that's why.
Im sure it's not that they are saving a ton in paper, ink and everything...

Tell them because of Covid germs you will Fax the cash to them.

We pay 95% of our bills online anyways....and I'm sure that company offers you the chance
to request continued receiving of bills in the mail if you like.

AT & T sends me letters wanting me to go paperless, which I have on most of my accounts with them. Then they send me two or three packets of junk to get me to buy more of their products and crap I don't want. They kill more trees to get me to buy what I don't want. than my bill would ever kill.

When a company gets your email, they constantly send **** under the guise of “ the customer might be interested”.

My company offered $5 to go paperless.

I took it because I thought having a pdf file of the policy rather than having a 12 page document laying around, sometimes for years, would be a benefit.

The options were-

1- everything digital.
2- everything digital except policy.
3- everything digital except policy and notices (WTF else is there?)

...but now they no longer send pre-printed insurance cards! (oh, that's what else there is)

WTF? (strike 2)

Now I have to go online. log in though high security, print them, and then try to cut and fold them to fit.

Why isn't there an option for "everything digital, except insurance cards"?
My guess is that option would be the most popular.

Why does it seem that no one in an organization of over 25 people can think intuitively?

Is your phone now probable cause for seizure on a traffic stop? If you show the officer your Insurance proof on your screen?

The paper industry is what’s saving the environment. They plant millions of acres of trees.
Once the paper companies go out of business they’ll no longer need the trees so they’ll sell the land. Then all the trees will be removed for housing plans, resorts, industrial parks, shopping centers, land fills…

I keep paper statements, just as reminders. I don't do auto-pay - I need to feel the burn of actually PAYING the bill, instead of having it simply vanish from my account.

It also allows/helps me make sure the money is IN the account, before paying the bill.

I know.

I'm old-school.

But when the credit score begins with an 8...it's obviously working.

I do auto pay on everything and I want my paper work. They can kiss my, you know. If I owe 5 thousand on my credit card this month, I send 6. It's my sole way of payment. I do write one check a month and that's to the credit card company.

24 out of 25 of those people can't SPELL "intuitively", and the one that can would spell it wrong.

Many states allow digital insurance cards aka on your phone.

What I find funny (in a sad way) is that the police KNOW if you have insurance as well as a registration, yet you are required to carry print copies.

Reminds of back in the pre-computer days when the registration information was physically tied/wrapped onto the steering column and could be read by anyone from outside by looking through the window/windshield.
