I'm interested in this Airtex fuel pump. I've never seen a rebuildable one in this style.

Thoughts anyone?

Crap, overlooked the RR part. They are all Spartan....

New one to me. Interesting it is painted....

Same here. Although you can't see it in the photo, the grease/dirt build up is the same on the block & pump, I can see a portion of the gasket that has orange paint on it & the paint on the hex head of the bolt still has paint on it. I just can't imagine that someone would paint a replacement pump.

K Frame date: Stamped in the front of the K frame right above the yoke support. Please let me know what the bottom of the K looks like as well.
Wiper motor: Numbers stamped in the barrel of the motor. Should be facing straight up.
Engine assembly date (EAD): Stamp pad on the right side of the engine block in front of the right head.
Transmission: VIN stamp pad right side of the transmission.
Radiator: Right side mounting bracket 1/2 way down.
Lower control arms (LCA): Forward facing rivets, 2 on each side.

Wow, what an amazing time capsule - all the more unlikely given the model.
This is fascinating stuff!

I pulled off all 4 wheels to inspect the brakes and much to my surprise, I found that the drums have never been off as you can see by the factory retainers. Once the drums were off and the excess brake dust was cleaned off, I could see that they were indeed the original brakes by the tan color of the shoes once some brake clean was sprayed on....

RC- I hope that you are wearing a good respirator when dealing with those brakes. Original brake shoes contained asbestos and if the dust is inhaled can cause serious, fatal lung damage (mesothelioma). Be careful!!!!

Mark,

Thank you for all of the pictures. This car is wearing its original parts in these pictures. See definitions below. Follow up pictures are requested on the EAD stamp pad and LCA's. Thanks again. You are an enabler for my numbers addiction...
