Moparstuart, thanks for posting all those great pics and telling the story of your brother. Great stuff!!, sorry for your loss, I can't imagine what it would be like to lose one of my brothers.

Thanks for the story and photos. You have a really nice car to remember your brother by.

Thats like dajavu. I own one of those money pits myself. Sorry about your brother. Must of been a real good guy. Im going to try to work on mine in a day or two, I just want to rest after the 4 hour bus ride to Ft Leanord Wood and back, But shootin **** all day with a M16 isnt all bad.

its funny we have the same cars and the I had the same old house money pit . and the shelby connectiont too ( living similar lives )

Did I see you at one of the weekend car shows in Belton last year? I'll try my best to get there with a car this year.

In reference to your barn find, I just picked up a "barn find" of sorts yesterday in St. Louis. It is a 66 Charger that was parked and has been in a garage sine 1980! The car was sandblasted and put in primer back then. And to bring the connection to your story full circle, my oldest brother had a 66 Charger when he was in High School back in 1977. He and my dad rebuilt that car, and it always has been a fond memory. My brother passed away (two weeks ago today), so this Charger means a lot to me and to my father. I just need to patch a few areas of rust, rebuild the 383, and she'll be back on the road in no time!

69 Runner is correct. I thought it was Men at Work, but now I remember John Cusack tries to jump off a bridge and lands in a garbage truck.

sweet 66 charger.... I found my 67 charger the same way... it was in a barn for 18 years... still had the 18yo gas in it... and the tires... LOL

I am in the process of getting her fixed...

i have way to many cars and not enough indoor room for them , i never drive the shelby, so it was time for it to go bye buy , plus i finally got my asking price and i could use the money in this bad economy to restore my 69 charger

Ive talked myself out of selling the Road Runner a hundred times. And i know i could pay off a bill or two with that one. But i know if i ever did i would be kickin myself in the nuts the rest of my life. And i can thank my wife for talking me out of selling it by reminding me of her 64 Mustang and how she wishes she hadnt

86 Laser XT, very cool car, and very very limited and rare, I had one myself, I loved that car! Here's me, yeah, I know, 80's...hahahaha, you could almost cook a burger off the heat coming from that Turbocharger grate/vent over the engine! Good MOPAR engineering; water cooled turbos!
