While what brought me to post to the forum was a question regarding radiator interchangeability; I thought it rude not to offer an actual introduction.

I sling code for a living, mostly work on GM mobiles in my spare time but I handle DeLorean stuff too. My 64 Polara is my first product from Dodge:

Anyway, I've been lurking here for some time and I am thankful for the information I've found here so far.

My Dad had a 64 Polara with a 383 Engine. It was one of my favorite cars, as it never burned a drop of oil. It was a Gold Color, and it was a sweet cruiser. I was sad when my Dad sold the car. I do have fond memories of it, as it was a major influence on me to buy Mopars! Thanks Dickey for your post. Your Polara is Awesome!

Regards,

Ariovistus

Have fun with that old girl. She's pretty special. Years ago I used to have a Blue 64 Polara with Blue interior bucket seats 383ci car. Wish I had never sold her. They're hard to come by now a days looking as good as your does. Enjoy!!!

Thank you for the kind words. Just recently the drivetrain was pulled so that all of the seals and gaskets could be replaced. While it was out I decided to clean it up and paint it so that the rest of the car would look as good as the interior...which is the reason I bought the car to begin with. Now I've got radiator hassles to sort out before I can put it back to daily driver duty.

Welcome aboard!
Thanks for joining.
Nice car.
"Sling code huh?"
You'll be okay here because a lot gets "slung" around here!
LOL
Again, welcome aboard

Werdlcome aboard

welcome and warning driving Mopar can be kind of addictive ... not everyone has what you have, especially that Polara!

Nice Polara. But I gotta say... you work on DeLoreans? Let's see some pics of those too! Oh, and welcome to FBBO!

Well, owning one requires you to work on it or be independently wealthy. I've done some jobs for other local owners in the past as well since a lot of shops won't touch the car. I don't hang out with the dmc crowd as a whole though. The UK guys are cool and there are a handful of gearhead owners in the states but most owners are the kind of guys that honestly believe the car is the most significant contribution to automotive history since the wheel.

They gave me all kinds of grief for corrupting my car when I ditched my k-jetronic, fabricated a new intake manifold and installed a 2g carburetor (GM's equivalent to a Stromberg). They'd likely start foaming at the mouth if they saw me cut up my control arms so I could fab in mustang ii ball joint mounts and run miata spindles:

This is a shot of me about a week after I bought the car:

because it is not a sports car if you don't do a sport with it

This is a bit more recent shot of me pedalling across the tail of the Dragon:

To date that last shot is my favorite.

Welcome, nice Dodge.
