My method for trunk seal removal.

Hi fellas,
I have been removing the trunk weather stripping on my new 65 Coronet and have come up with a procedure that works well: peel off the bulk of the rubber and then-in 6"/8" sections-heat with a heat gun and scrape the rest of the rubber off. I cut some Oak strips from a 1" board (about 6" long by 1/4" thick) and sharpened them to a razor edge on the belt sander. I think any good hard wood would suffice but, Oak is what I had. Makes a nice tool that does not scratch the paint.
Next I just rubbed off the old adhesive with adhesive remover and an old sock.
I found this was the quickest method for me.
