MY NEW 1964 POLARA 500 CONVERTABLE

Update, I saw this good deal on a power disc brake conversion kit at Jegs and ordered it. Then they sent me a manual kit instead. I called them up and they said the kit I ordered didn't exist ad to get the rest of the stuff I need will be $340.00 more. After doing rounds with their customer relations department, they offered to sell me the rest of the parts for $240.00 more. Have any of you guys ever had an experience like that?

Well thats weird. I just checked out their website, punched in the part number and then the same ad pops up!

Looks like it does exist. Which means they should honor that price.

There are a lot of parts to the kit listed, and the price is too low compared to everyone elses prices. Jegs had to make a mistake on this one. If it does not exist according to them I would of thought that they would of taken the ad off of the website.

At that price, we should all order a kit.

Look what the ad says about price matching.....

Good luck....

wilmacmike: I recognize that street sign in your avatar. Used to go by it a couple of times a week at speed on my sport bike. Lived in Montara; down HWY 1, up 84, south on Skyline, west on Hwy 9 down to Santa Cruz for lunch on the pier. Thanks for the memories. Condolences for the squirrels that sat on the road and couldn't figure out which way to go...

Thanks Coloradodave,
I too have also riddin my bikes up and down that stretch of Skyline many times at high rates of speed. Never hit any squirrels though.

I took that picture of the road sign with my aunt and uncle. My cousin Jeff Adan was killed there on that corner this last February . They were showing me the spot where he went off the road and down about a 150 feet. We planted some flowers there.

I'm sorry for your loss. Sometimes speed and two lane winding roads can be unforgiving, even for very experienced riders. My friends and I were very lucky over the years... eventually took it to the track. No driveways, cars, dogs or intersections. RIP Jeff...

Finally some time to work on the Dodge. Just got done tearing apart the front passenger side. All original looking equipment. The shock still has undercoating on it and is still good.
