Best thing to do is consider replacing it with something more current....your choice of brand or as Ray Brenner at @HALLIFAXHOPS for his opinion. The pix of the rotor assembly looks like it came from a Prestolite Dual point distributor although I'm sure it's not but some type of magnetic pickup distributor. Replace it b4 it leaves you along the road somewhere ......just my opinion......

Likely a knockoff that you can't get parts for when you're on the side of the road, like Renton saidI just put points in a 66 Mustang Saturday.:usflag:

Thanks guys! Yea that's what l was thinking as l'd like to go back to an OEM style.

What suggestion do you have for a 68 Charger (build date 1/22/68), 4-barrel carb, automatic transmission, electronic ignition.

I can curve up a OEM one for it. To keep the wiring simple I would put a petronix unit in a points dist .

Thanks!

So, to make sure I understand, you'd take an OEM shell (with a date code close to my build date) and put electronic ignition guts in it.

Not sure if it helps but I have the purple cam (no idea which one or specs).

How much would that cost? We can discuss in a PM if you like or I can give you a call to discuss, just need your phone number.

Thanks in advance!

Call me way easier just sent my # Lots of ways of doing this. Now is good take say 5 min

Just noticed you are already wired for a ecu. I would just throw a mildly curved mopar electronic disributor in it. That ecu gold colored?

Hey Ray, thanks for the conversation as well as idea & price, definitely a winter project after the season is over.

Here are the pictures of the ECU we talked about that I have no idea what the numbers on the back mean.

Awesome. So if I'm reading this correctly mine is the last one?

seems like it. Do not use the recomeneded ballast on the street it will burn it up.

You do know there's a screw missing on the transistor?

Thanks. I'm using the one in my pictures, No issues so far after a few years with it on. Should I be using something different?

I think that's the picture as l just checked and both screws are there.

That one is OK the 1/4 ohm is pretty large. Around twice the girth. Race only thing cools down between runs.
