I have installed a hydroboost and need some recommendations for high pressure -6 AN 90 degree hose ends.

I have standard -6 AN stainless steel, lined hose, just like:

I have gone through 3 lines now and decorated my engine bay and garage floor with at least 3 pints of power steering fluid because the hose ends keep getting blasted off. It could be operator error getting the hose ends on snug, as I've never really made my own hoses before, but it seems pretty straightforward.

I saw these highly recommended, so I gave them a shot, but, well, no bueno.

I am about to order these Russell brand ones but wanted to ask for opinions/experiences first.

It seems the ones with the ferrules/olives would work better than the ones without just because it seems like a much stronger connection.

Thanks,

Clay

IMOP,you need to find a tow truck builder or a shop that makes crimped high pressure hoses.
Do you know anyone that works for the county or state garage?? They normally make their own hoses, same with large sanitation or a company that has a large fleet of plow truck:thumbsup:

You know PS pressures can run to 1200 psi, correct?

I didn't think it was quite that high, but the hose I have is rated to 1000 PSI. The Tallon hydraboost kit came with what looks like standard -6 AN hose with a fitting crimped on one end and a DIY fitting for the other once it's cut to fit, so I figured this was an OK way to go.

If this is the kind of thing that I should just have made I'm happy to do that too.

Thanks!

Cool, that sounds like a plan.

Appreciate the quick feedback.

Yep, Al's suggestion is good. Most truck supply houses and some NAPA stores built high pressure hoses on site.

Any good John Deere one Case IH dealer should be able to make any hydraulic hose. The bigger dealers have pretty much any fitting you could imagine. My power steering pressure hose was made at the local Deere dealer, made to fit. Good luck.
