Hey everyone,

If ur reading this then i really appreciate your time, im in the process of buying myself a 73 coronet and i wanna get info in what all would involve swapping the 318 out and dropping a 400 if not a 440. Im new to mopar and would like some feedback on any info you can give thanks i know im being pretty vague but any and all info regaurding this would be greatly appreciated:iamwithstupid:

you will need a schumacher motor mount swap kit or switch out the k-member to a BB k-member. next you will need to elongate your coil wire as the coil is in front on BB's and next to the firewall on SB's. you will need to address cooling issues (i.e. radiator size and position of inlet and outlet's in comparison to BB water pump housing inlet) and lastly you will need to get a 727 BB transmission or a manual setup with a BB bellhousing. And.. almost forgot, you will need to get your driveshaft shortened 4 1/8" if you go with a 727.

I would first really determine what your vision of the finished car will be. Then work out a game plan from there. If you can find a wrecked donor car for your project you will be ahead on all the stupid little shtuff that will kill your brain and your budget.
